Halloween at Tong Le Montessori School was a day filled with creativity, curiosity, and cultural exploration. Through Montessori-inspired activities, our students celebrated the holiday while engaging in meaningful learning experiences. Check out the highlights in our video!
Our Cherry Blossom students kicked off the season by creating their own Halloween book, inspired by Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Their imaginative book introduces readers to Halloween characters through catchy, repetitive phrases and charming illustrations. Sharing their work with younger students was a delightful experience that connected the classes and inspired everyone to dive into reading.
In both Carnation and Sunflower Classes, students dressed in costumes representing different countries. Carnation students explored the music from the countries represented by their costumes, learning about unique sounds, rhythms, and traditions. Meanwhile, Sunflower students took a geographical approach, identifying the locations of these countries on a map. This hands-on exploration connected music, geography, and culture, broadening their understanding of the world.
In Dandelion Class, students delved into the world of spiders by reading The Very Busy Spider in Chinese. Through this activity, they expanded their Chinese vocabulary, learning the names of animals featured in the story. They also created spider webs by weaving on paper plates, combining language learning with hands-on craft work.
Halloween at Tong Le Montessori is about more than costumes and treats—it’s an opportunity to celebrate learning, creativity, and connection. Watch our video to see how our students enjoyed Halloween the Montessori way!
